You only have an account if you have used Play Online. Single-player and two-players-on-one-device do not create an account, and there is nothing online to delete.
Use this page for both account deletion and data deletion. You do not need to be signed in to read it.
The quickest way: delete it in the game
You do not need to contact us, and you do not need to wait.
- Open Checkers
- Tap Play Online
- Open your profile
- Choose Delete account
Deletion of your profile and sign-in account happens immediately.
If you no longer have the app installed
Email contact@magicwordgames.com from the Google address linked to your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. Include your in-game display name if you remember it.
If you only ever played as a guest and no longer have that device or install, we may not be able to find the account. Guest accounts are not tied to an email address.
We will confirm and complete deletion within 30 days.
What deleting removes
- Your account and account ID
- Your display name (released for anyone else to use)
- Your avatar choice
- Your skill rating for every game variant
- Your online statistics (played, won, lost, drawn, streaks)
- Your online/offline presence record
- The Google name and email we held for that game account
Deleting this game account does not close or change your Google account.
What is kept, and why
Records of matches you played are kept. A match is shared between two people. It is also part of your opponent’s history, and their rating is calculated from it. After deletion, a kept match record refers to an account identifier that is no longer connected to a profile, display name, or email.
If you reported another player, or were reported, we keep that report as long as we need it to investigate.
We may also keep information where the law requires it.
The age-gate result (whether this install passed or failed the 13+ check) lives only on the device. Uninstalling the app removes it.
